Wingate Campground is a front-country campground in Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah. It offers RV sites with electrical hookups, tent-only sites, and Yurts.
Wingate Campground - Dead Horse Point State Park Camping
This campground offers easy access to hiking trails and mountain biking trails that run near the campground.
If you can't make a reservation here, there is also the Kayenta Campground just down the road.
The campground is just down from Dead Horse Point, which offers amazing views of the Colorado River.
One of the really cool amenities in this campground is the picnic shelter.
You can enjoy a great wind/sun cover that makes it so nice to enjoy a meal at the campsite picnic table.

All sites have fire pits, picnic tables under shade shelters, and access to bathrooms with running water and dishwashing sinks.

Is Cellular Phone Service Available? Maybe we had some service randomly in the park with T-mobile.

Yes, Bundles of wood are sold at the Visitor Center and Entrance Station or in Moab.
Be advised that firewood collecting in the park is not allowed.

All campers must fill water storage tanks and containers before coming to the park. All the water in the park is trucked in from Moab.

RV Camping at Wingate Campground
This campground has amazing pull-thru sites that can fit large RV's
All trailers and other vehicles must be parked on the paved driveway, and tents must only be pitched on the tent pads (15 x 11 feet).
Extra vehicles must fit on your campsite's paved driveway.
Do not park extra vehicles by the restrooms, as those spaces are for tent-only campsite users.
RV Length: RV sites will accommodate vehicles up to 56′ and there is a dump station at the entrance to the campground.
Hookups Available: There are 44 partial hook sites available with (20,30,50 amp service)
Generators: The RV sites have hookups.

Water: It is worth noting that the campground does not have water for RVs. The water table is so low that the park has to truck in water daily.

How to get to Campground
Dead Horse Point is on State Route 313, 18 miles off Highway 191 near Moab.
Yurt Rentals at Dead Horse Point State Park
Yurts are available in two locations in Dead Horse Point State Park.
The Moenkopi Yurts (Y1-Y5) are located at the Mountain Bike Parking Lot.
Guests at the Moenkopi Yurts can bring a maximum of two dogs for a fee of $20/per dog per night. No other pets are allowed and failure to disclose will result in a $150 fee being assessed.
The Wingate Campground Yurts (Y6-Y9) are located in the Wingate Campground.
The Wingate Campground Yurts do not allow pets of any kind unless they meet the ADA definition of a service animal. You may be required to show proof of Disability and that the dog has been trained to perform according to the ADA compliance requirements. This does not include emotional support animals.
All Yurts have drive-in access with a short walk to the yurts.

Yurt Amenities Include:
Air Conditioning in room only, propane heating, a deck, lighting, BBQ, fire pit, picnic table, and Bunk Beds.
The Bunk Bead has a queen-sized bed on the bottom bunk and a full-size bed on the top bunk.
Visitors should bring their own bedding, including pillows.
Visitors should also bring camping cookware and grilling utensils.
Smoking and cooking are not allowed in the yurts.

The maximum number of people in a campsite: 8
The number of cars per campsite: A combination of one camping unit and tents may be used as long as the tents are only on the tent pad or asphalt section of the camping site. No exceptions to these standards.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10:00 pm - 7:00 am daily
Pets Allowed: Yes, Pets must be on a leash 6 feet or less and attended at all times. Dogs are allowed on hiking trails.
Restaurant Options
The only cafe in the park is the Dark Horse Cafe, located right next to the park's visitor center.
They offer breakfast and lunch items such as muffins, hamburgers, corn dogs, hot dogs, chips, candy bars, coffee, water, and soda.
Normal hours are Thursday - Monday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm can closed on Tuesday & Wednesday. (They may extend hours of operation during the busy summer months)
Lodging Options
There are no State Park or National Park Lodges within or near the park. This includes glamping tents, cabins, and cottages.
Yurts are available at the Wingate Campground
The majority of lodging options can be found in and around Moab, Utah.
