Pebble Creek Campground is a small 27-site campground located at the park's northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
* CLOSED IN 2023 and 2024 for flood recovery work. Due to infrastructure damage sustained during flooding in June 2022, Pebble Creek Campground will remain closed until further notice.
Pebble Creek Campground - Yellowstone National Park
Located off the main traffic routes, Pebble Creek Campground offers campers a great camping experience with gorgeous views from multiple sites along Soda Butte Creek.
The sites are close together but nicely shaded and very close to outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities in Lamar Valley. In fact, many people searching to see wolves like to use this campground as a base camp. Of course, there are more than just wolves; you can also see numerous other species, including bears, bison, coyotes, red foxes, elk, numerous bird species, and more!
The closest restaurants and stores are located about nine miles away in Silver Gate or Cooke City.

How to get to Pebble Creek Campground
Pebble Creek Campground is located on the main park road between Tower Junction and Cooke City in the Lamar Valley Area of the park.
Pebble Creek Campground Regulations
The maximum number of people in a campsite: Maximum 6 persons per site
The number of cars per campsite: Tent sites allow for up to two tents and two vehicles. RV sites allow for one RV (tow included) only. (For reference, 2 motorcycles = 1 vehicle)
Check-in Time: check-in any time of day that there is an unoccupied site.
Checkout time: 10 AM.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to 14 days from July 1 through Labor Day, and 30 days for the rest of the year. There is no stay limit at the Fishing Bridge RV Park.
