Kayenta Campground is located in Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah. This front-country campground is suitable for tent campers, RV's and trailers, with easy access to several hiking and biking trails.
Dead Horse Point has some of the most spectacular views in the entire American Southwest!
Unsurprisingly, this is one of the most recognizable and most photographed scenic vistas in Utah.
Sunrise and sunset are equally impressive, and photographers will love taking photos during the golden hour as the canyon's colors are incredible, and you can get the feel of the depth of the canyon without the harsh light overhead.
Kayenta Campground - Dead Horse Point State Park Camping
If you are unable to find a campsite here make sure to check out Wingate Campground just down the road. The Kayenta Campground is located in the perfect location to simply take a hike on either the East Rim Trail or West Rim Trail for epic overlooks and views from Dead Horse Point State Park. You can also drive from the campground to the end of the park road and easily walk up to the overlooks looking down onto the Colorado River.
Dead Horse Point State Park is located just down the road from Canyonlands National Park. If camping is full at Dead Horse Point, check at Canyonlands Willow Flat Campground or the Devil's Garden Campground in Arches National Park.
Make sure to make sure you pack drinking water with you, as the state park does not have it available.

RV Camping at Kayenta Campground
A camper is defined as an RV, conversion van, vehicle with a rooftop tent, or any vehicle that is slept in. Only one vehicle is allowed per campsite. A vehicle and attached tow equipment is considered one vehicle. Some, but not all, campsites may accommodate an extra vehicle. Only one extra vehicle is allowed per site.
Extra vehicles require additional fees. For questions regarding extra vehicles, please call Dead Horse Point State Park at 435-259-2614.

Dead Horse Point is on State Route 313, 18 miles off Highway 191 near Moab, Utah, United States.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10:00 pm - 7:00 am daily
Pets Allowed: Pets must be on a leash less than 6 feet long and attended at all times. Dogs are allowed on hiking trails.
Dogs are not allowed on the mountain bike trails.
Restaurant Options
The only cafe in the park is the Dark Horse Cafe, located right next to the park's visitor center.
They offer breakfast and lunch items such as muffins, hamburgers, corn dogs, hot dogs, chips, candy bars, coffee, water, and soda.
Normal hours are Thursday - Monday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm can closed on Tuesday & Wednesday. (They may extend hours of operation during the busy summer months)
Lodging Options
There are no State Park or National Park Lodges within or near the park. This includes glamping tents, cabins, and cottages.
Yurts are available at the Wingate Campground
The majority of lodging options can be found in and around Moab, Utah.
