Juniper Campground ND is the only campground located in the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.

There is lots of wildlife in the area, and not uncommon to see in the campground.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park Entrance Fee
Remember that Theodore Roosevelt National Park has an entrance fee separate from camping fees.
Park Entrance Pass - $30.00 Per private vehicle (valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase)
Park Entrance Pass - Motorcycle - $25.00 Per motorcycle (valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase)
Pedestrian/Cyclist Pass—$15.00. This pass is for visitors 16 years of age or older who enter on foot, bicycle, or as part of an organized group not involved in a commercial tour.
Annual Park Entrance Pass - $55.00, Admits pass holder and all passengers in a non-commercial vehicle. Valid for one year from the month of purchase.
Commercial rates vary depending on the number of seats. Rates vary from $25.00-$150-00.

Senior/Access Camping Fee: 50% off, This discounted rate applies to sites occupied by a person with a valid Senior or Access Pass. (Note: this does not include Interagency, TRNP, or Military Annual Pass holders.)

All standard campsites in Juniper are non-reservable (first come, first served).
Only Juniper Campground Group Site is reservable from May through September.
Group site reservations open each year on March 1 at 8:00 am MST. and must be made at least five days in advance. Passholder discounts do not apply.

Each campsite has a picnic table, a raised grill for campfires and for cooking with wood or charcoal, and a cleared, flat area for a tent.

RV Camping at Juniper Campground
There are no hookup sites available. There are no electrical, water, or greywater hookups.
The maximum vehicle length among pull-through sites varies. Many sites are quite large (over 50 ft). Usually, with this campground's low occupancy rate, campers are able to find a campsite to accommodate their vehicle's length.
Back-in sites accommodate vehicles up to about 20 feet in length.
Parking spots for walk-to sites can only accommodate passenger vehicles (no RVs or trailers).
Most of the RV and trailer sites are fairly level, which wheelchair users can navigate.
Generators:
Generator hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Generators must be equipped with an effective muffler.
Group Camping
Group site reservations open each year on March 1 at 8:00 am MST
Reservations for group sites are released on a 12-month rolling basis
Reservations can be made on Recreation.gov
Toilets, drinking water and picnic tables are provided at this facility. The site can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.
The group site can accommodate between seven and 60 people with a maximum of 20 passenger vehicles.
There are no hookups; a dump station is available for campers. All wheeled vehicles and trailers must remain on roadways or pads.
How to get to Juniper Campground
Enter the North Unit from Highway 85. Travel 5.5 miles on the scenic drive. Juniper Campground is on the left. Stop at the campground’s self-registration kiosk for information on how to claim a campsite.
Campground Regulations
The maximum number of people in a campsite: Occupancy of any one site is limited to 1 family or 6 persons and 2 vehicles. Walk-in tent sites are limited to 1 vehicle.

Picnic areas are closed to the public around this time as well (9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).

Pets Allowed: Dogs, cats, and other pets must be caged, on a leash (no longer than 6 feet), or otherwise under physical restraint at all times.
